There For You Every Step Of The Way

An elevator recall is a safety feature designed to quickly evacuate passengers from an elevator in the event of an emergency. It is also known as an elevator emergency recall system (ERS). The purpose of an elevator recall is to bring the elevator cars to designated floors where passengers can safely exit.  The recall process aims to prevent passengers from becoming trapped inside elevators during emergencies, ensuring their safety and enabling firefighters to perform their duties efficiently. Building codes and regulations often require the installation of elevator recall systems to enhance overall building safety.

As such, all fire alarm devices related to elevator recall may need to meet additional criteria that apply to less than common circumstances, so be sure to employ an experienced fire alarm contractor that will proactively coordinate the electrical and elevator interfacing requirements.  A properly coordinated integration between the two systems can make the difference between passing the first inspection and incurring additional costs due to subsequent re-inspections.
